Remus liked to stay up to date on the news, wizarding and Muggle. After all, in his opinion, both sides affected his world. He knew some wizards liked to pretend the Muggles didn't exist, but he knew better and thought it was silly. Jake didn't seem to be reacting poorly to any of this and he believed most Muggles would be similar. Like wizards, there would be bad apples undoubtedly, but... well. It would take a miracle to bring the two worlds together at this point.
Jake took the newspaper in hand and almost immediately his eyes went wide, studying the moving picture on the front page. His fingers brushed over it, awed. It was definitely paper. How could they manage this but not know how to work a phone or a television? Well, from what he was hearing, that wasn't true for all of them but still! "It's incredible," he said quietly. "Blimey..." He flashed a smile of thanks to Tonks, wonderment in his eyes. "I suppose I assumed a little too much given how... ah, foreign all technology seemed to Draco." His smile held embarrassment, knowing he was guilty, but it wouldn't knock his enjoyment of all of this.
His gaze went to Draco, his smile warmer. "He picks up quick, though." Knowing he had already gotten Draco to the point of texting though a computer, he imagined, would take... longer. A lot longer. They hadn't even properly gotten onto the interview. The idea of YouTube would certainly be something! Even Remus didn't touch the internet, though he knew about it at least.
"Oh some of us do try to keep up to date on things....especially if we marry someone whose not a witch or wizard." Tonks replied. "It's the only way our people were able to survive. Concerning technology-- I think in other countries like across the pond, they don't shy away from technology. It does tend to very."
Draco merely shook his head. "Only because someone kept being persistent about it. You don't want to know how long it takes me to try to send you a text. It's still weird."
"I had no idea it varied so much." Jake flashed her a wide smile, clearly excited about the discussion and enjoying himself. Who wouldn't? A young man who had a love of fantasy even as he was grounded in the real world around him by circumstance... this might have been a dream come true if the situation wasn't so possibly explosive since he wasn't supposed to know.
His smile turned softer, warmer, when he looked to Draco. "I'm proud you're managing to do it, though."
Remus' brows shot up and he looked to Draco. "...you have a phone?" he glanced to his wife, wondering if she had any idea. How was Draco-- was Jake paying for it?
