The fact that Jake reached out and put a hand on his shoulder, held Draco where he was. He was about to defend himself, but knew at the same time what was said would be used against him. He unclinched his fist. Instead he glared back at the three of them as they walked by. He knew that they weren't finished with them. There would be another time and talking wasn't going to get them out of it.
It hurt Draco deeply as he watched his old friends head to the tavern to celebrate over a Quidditch match. Something they would have all done in the past. Now they looked down at him. It just reminded him of how isolated he was from his own world. He also realized as well of how much he had changed with in the months away from his people. It only made him realize how horrible of a person he had been and was glad that Remus had pulled him away from that path.
