He's heard stories about what his parents have done in the past and what they did to support their beliefs. It was what led them to join the Dark Lord.

Unfortunately, Draco had to agree that it's also what caused the large rift between his parents and everyone else. He remembered how his father used to give Remus a hard time when he was a professor. After the pink hair incident it kept his father from pursuing the issue.

"You're wanting me to not follow my parents' beliefs?" Draco questioned more to gain a confirmation that he was correct.
