He hesitated a bit at the other question if he still played. "I stopped playing when my father stopped playing. When the music stopped...I knew that something was up and it wasn't good. Later I learned...that He had returned in full form. I could see him changing like he was trying to brace himself for what was going to happen. He didn't want to seem weak or soft.
He became stricter, harsher in his words, and easily irritable. Nothing seemed to please him. My parents always fought. At one point I tried to keep playing wanting to remember the good things that came with it, but my father put a stop to it. He was so mad that day. Since then I didn't try again. I'm not sure what would happen if I tried to play again. I'm honestly surprised he never got rid of the pianos."
