Draco did understand about their cooking, having noticed. Although, at first he thought all the take out was just a quick an easy meal because they were so busy...but now he fully understand the actual reason.
"I was surprised that my parents knew how to cook. They always had House Elves to do everything for them and when we lost ours... they worked out what to do.
It was a hard transition and a lot of arguing. They would take turns cooking and share the cleaning...and I was forced to do some of the cleaning too. My mother started to do most of the cooking of late when my father would forget things or mix things up. Or she would supervise the cooking if he put up fight about it."
